The next chapter in The Beatles’ acclaimed catalog reissue series is almost here. Their landmark 1965 album, Rubber Soul, returns on October 2 in a newly remixed edition by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell.
The release will be available in multiple formats, including a Super Deluxe Edition that presents all 14 tracks in newly remixed stereo for the first time alongside a treasure trove of archival material.
The Super Deluxe set features 24 early session recordings, including 20 previously unreleased studio takes and three never-before-heard home demos: “Day Tripper,” “We Can Work It Out,” and “Little Girl,” an unheard John Lennon song outline that had never been released—or even publicly known—until now.
To celebrate the announcement, The Beatles have also shared “Michelle (Take 1),” giving fans an early taste of the sessions that helped shape one of the band’s most beloved albums. The track is now available to stream on YouTube.
With its fresh mix, rare studio recordings, and the debut of an entirely unknown Lennon composition, Rubber Soul looks set to become one of the most exciting entries in The Beatles’ ongoing archival series.
