Happy Birthday to Pat Benatar, who turns 72 today. Patricia Andrzejewski was born Jan. 10th, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY and began singing on stage when she was just 8 years old.
She performed in New York’s nightclub and musical theater scenes until she was signed to a record deal in 1978.
Pat married her husband and longtime musical collaborator Neil Giraldo in 1982. The couple were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. Benatar won an incredible four straight Grammys for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance from 1981-1984.
