Rush is set to extend their return to the stage with a five-show residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas in May of next year, following their “Fifty Something Tour.” The residency, titled “Elevate From the Norm,” includes performances on May 21, May 23, May 26, May 28, and May 30, featuring co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson along with drummer Anika Nilles.
Geddy Lee said the unique Vegas venue caught his eye from the beginning: “When I first heard of Sphere, I thought to myself, ‘Wow, what a shame that Rush is no longer touring, because this venue sounds tailor made for the kind of visual attitude with which we have always designed our shows.'”
Lee says the setlist will include “all of 2112 and all of Moving Pictures along with an array of other songs,” similar to the setlists from the current tour.
Tickets for all five dates go on sale Nov. 13.
