Fun fact about me, I enjoy getting home and watching Wheel of Fortune as a way of winding down and on Tuesday’s episode of my favorite game show we were treated to a $100,000 winner in the bonus round.
Wheel of Fortune contestant Ilene not only solved the bonus round puzzle but also came out a big winner by becoming the first $100,000 bonus round winner of the season and the first person to send confetti flying.
After solving the “Around the House” category puzzle, which was “Quilted Bedspread”, my man and host Pat Sajak popped open that golden envelop to reveal that she had won the $100,000 which BTW is the highest prize possible in that round.

Ilene’s win on Tuesday comes after she reviled that she had been auditioning to be a contestant on the show for 30 years and boy was it worth the wait. Ilene also had a request following her win, which surprised many including myself, she asked for the broom because she wanted to clean up the confetti. So when the show came back from break there Ilene was with broom in hand ready to sweep up her sweet victory.
