Pearl Jam has not officially filled their drummer vacancy. Abe Laboriel Jr. played with the band during Eddie Vedder’s solo set at the Ohana festival and Pearl Jam’s headlining performance.
The band seemingly confirmed that Laboriel Jr.’s stint was temporary, with Eddie Vedder expressing gratitude for his contribution. Matt Cameron’s departure left a significant gap in Pearl Jam’s lineup, with bassist Jeff Ament suggesting they have already chosen a new drummer.
Ament mentioned that the new drummer was the first choice and that it was challenging to inform other talented drummer friends that they had found someone.
