During a concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Paul Simon initially refused a fan’s request for “Kodachrome” during his encore, but later agreed to perform part of the song for $20.
The fan-captured video shows Simon accepting the cash and playing about 90 seconds of the song, which he hadn’t performed live since 2019.
Despite health challenges, including severe hearing loss and recent back surgery, the 83-year-old music legend continues his A Quiet Celebration Tour with upcoming shows in San Francisco, Vancouver, and Seattle.
@methsyndicate Some dude yelled out Kodachrome during Paul Simon’s set (he hasn’t played it since 2019) and he said “I don’t take requests but I’ll play some of it for $20 bucks) and then the dude whipped out $20 and Paul stuck to his word. Holy smokes I can’t believe that just happened. #paulsimon #kodachrome #fyp #foryoupage #simonandgarfunkel #graceland ♬ original sound – methsyndicate
