Coors Light is changing its name to “Mondays Light” for a limited time to help combat the post-Super Bowl Monday blues. The limited-edition packaging features a “Mondays Light” design and will be available nationwide.
This move comes as millions of Americans are expected to call out of work the day after the Big Game.
Coors Light made headlines last week for a typo in their advertisements, when they released an ad that misspelled “refreshment” to read, “refershment.” Now they say it was all part of a publicity stunt. They are embracing the mistake as just another case of the Mondays.
The company did not specify how long the name change will last, but the special “Mondays Light” packs will be available for a limited time.
