The documentary film “Billy Idol Should Be Dead,” directed by Jonas Åkerlund and produced by Live Nation Studios, will be released in U.S. theaters on February 26. The film will premiere in Los Angeles on February 23 and in New York on February 25, followed by an acoustic performance by Billy Idol and Steve Stevens.

The documentary explores Idol’s life and career, from his punk rock roots to his global stardom, featuring never-before-seen footage and interviews. The film debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival and includes Idol’s original song “Dying To Live.” Idol’s new album, “Dream Into It,” is out now, and he is currently on tour.

There are a few showings planned in Wisconsin and although no official word on when the documentary will be streamed it is expected. A streaming service has yet to be named.
