The new movie Song Sung Blue tells the story of Lightning & Thunder, a Neil Diamond tribute duo from Milwaukee, played by Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson. The film reveals an unexpected connection to Eddie Vedder, who is portrayed as the MVP of Lightning & Thunder.
Vedder personally supported the project, allowing the use of a Pearl Jam song and helping to overcome obstacles from Diamond’s publishing company. Song Sung Blue is currently in theaters, showcasing the unique bond between Lightning & Thunder and Eddie Vedder. Their relationship goes back 30 years, when Eddie invited Lightning & Thunder to open for Pearl Jam at Summer Fest in 1995.
