The Beatles’ classic Anthology documentary is getting a new edition, restored, remastered, and expanded, featuring the full story of the band in their own words. The new nine-part Anthology will be available on Disney+ starting November 26, with a brand-new Episode Nine showcasing unseen footage of the surviving Beatles working on the original documentary.
The restoration was done by Apple in collaboration with Peter Jackson’s Wingnut Films & Park Road Post teams and Giles Martin, who also remastered the Anthology albums. The new Anthology 4 album, with 36 tracks including 13 previously unreleased outtakes and demos, will be released on November 21 in various formats.
The first three Anthology albums, released in the ’90s featuring unreleased gems from the band’s archives, were a massive success, surprising the music industry and fueling a resurgence of Beatles popularity.
