An important piece of rock history that hasn’t been available is getting some new attention. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham put up a billboard in L.A. that seems to confirm that their classic “Buckingham Nicks” album will be reissued on September 19th. Here’s the first track, “Crying in the Night”.
(Stevie would sometimes do this song live at her solo concerts over the years.)
The billboard is on Sunset Boulevard near where they recorded the album at Sunset Studios. That’s where Mick Fleetwood heard them and hired them for Fleetwood Mac. The billboard features the album cover photo of Stevie and Lindsey without shirts. The photographer was Jimmy Wachtel, who is the brother of Stevie’s solo-career guitarist, Waddy Wachtel.
