Guinness has teamed up with Van Leeuwen Ice Cream to create a limited-edition treat that blends the bold flavor of stout with the creamy indulgence of dessert. The new flavor, called “Lovely Day for a Guinness,” combines Guinness’s signature deep, chocolatey bitterness with rich ice cream and decadent chocolate chunks — a beer lover’s dessert dream.
Inspired by classic Guinness ads from the 1950s, the pints are available now at select Van Leeuwen Scoop Shops and online for $12, while supplies last. To celebrate the launch, select cities will host pop-up events, free sample giveaways, and “mini pintmobiles” delivering exclusive merch and frozen pints to fans.
While Guinness can be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of drink, ice cream tends to be a universal favorite. This mashup may just convert some skeptics — especially if you take it a step further and create the ultimate summer indulgence: a Guinness float. Just drop a scoop into a tall glass and pour a cold Guinness over it.
Whether you’re a die-hard fan of the iconic stout or just looking for something new and adventurous to try, this unique collaboration offers a cool twist on a classic brew.
