Music icon Ringo Starr has asked his fans around the world to celebrate his 85th birthday with “peace and love.” The Beatles band member released a video on TikTok ahead of his big day, asking people to stop what they are doing and say, think or post his message to the world.
In the video, he said: “On Monday it’s my birthday, what does that mean? It means at noon wherever you are all over the world anywhere, you go ‘peace and love’. This is my gift to you. Peace and love.” Ringo Starr has been spreading his peace and love message every year on his birthday since 2008 as a symbol of global unity.
The Beatles Story museum in Liverpool will unveil a Ringo Starr Peace and Love Sculpture in honor of his milestone birthday and advocacy for peace.
