Hollywood stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, longtime friends, are set to star in an upcoming revival of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot. Winter revealed the news at the 2025 Tony Awards in New York City, where they were present to present an award.
The duo, known for their roles in the Bill & Ted movies, wanted to work together again and Reeves had the idea for the play. The production will begin preview performances at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre on September 13, with Reeves playing Estragon and Winter playing Vladimir. Fans can expect a unique and personal interpretation of the acclaimed existential work.
