Madonna and Sir Elton John have ended their long-standing feud, with Madonna confirming on social media that they have “finally buried the hatchet.” The feud began in 2002 when Elton criticized Madonna’s ‘Die Another Day’ as the “worst Bond tune ever.” Madonna attended Elton’s performance on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and they reconciled backstage, with Elton apologizing and expressing a desire to collaborate. The feud escalated in 2004 when Elton questioned Madonna’s Best Live Act nomination and made critical comments about her lip-syncing. Madonna’s publicist defended her, stating that she does not lip-sync or trash other artists.
