Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum has dismissed the idea of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler returning to the touring circuit. Despite Tyler’s recent live performance at his Grammy Awards Viewing Party, Sorum believes the strain of global touring would prevent Tyler from performing on a large scale again.
Tyler, who suffered a vocal injury in 2023, performed covers and Aerosmith hits at the event, but Sorum emphasized that Tyler’s perfectionism and age would limit his ability to tour extensively.
Aerosmith announced their retirement from touring in 2024, and while there is speculation about future activity, it remains uncertain if the band will reunite for live shows.
