Official Contest Rules
WBCV Twinkle Light Showdown Photo Contest
These contest rules are specific to the WBCV “Twinkle Light Showdown” Contest (the “Contest”) conducted by NRG Media, LLC d/b/a WBCV (the “Company” or the “Station”). These rules are intended to supplement the General Contest Rules, however, to the extent that the General Contest Rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this Contest. A copy of these specific contest rules and the Station’s General Contest Rules are available at the Station’s studio at 2301 Plover Road, Plover, WI 54467 during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and on the contest page on the Station’s website at www.bigcheese1079.com.
When:
The WBCV “Twinkle Light Showdown” contest will run from 12/06/24 till 11:59pm on 12/19/24. You can upload your photos starting at 12am on 12/06/24 until 11:59pm on 12/19/24.
Who Can Enter:
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. The contest is open to listeners who are legal US residents at least 18 years old living within 75 miles of the Station’s studios at the address above.
How to Play:
Listeners will be able to upload a photo of their decorated outdoor display, indoor décor or Christmas tree with their name, address, email address, telephone number, gender, and date of birth. Photos may not contain children under the age of 18. You can upload photos until 11:59pm on 12/19/24 Photos only (without identifying info) will be posted on the contest page on the Station’s website. You can only submit one photo per person. Starting on Monday, December 9th Trav in the Morning will announce a daily winning photo between 7-8am on-air. Winning photos will be selected randomly. The winners will also be contacted by phone.
Prizes:
Ten (10) Prizes will be awarded. Each winner will win a $200 Jim Kryshak Jewelers Gift Certificate; The gift certificates can not be used with any other discounts or promotions. Only one gift certificate may be used per listener. Listeners cannot win gift certificates on more than one station. Gift certificates expire January 31st, 2025.

By entering, listener expressly confirms the following:
Entrant represents and warrants that he/she is 18 years of age or older as of entry date.
Entrant represents and warrants that he/she own the rights to, or have obtained permission to use, the photo being submitted. Entrant represents and warrants that he/she consents to and authorizes Station to post the photo containing the image on Station’s website or social network sites or use the photo in any other way Station sees fit.
Entrant consents, agrees and acknowledges that Station and contest sponsors and their respective affiliates, employees, agents may use for advertising and/or promotional purposes, entrant’s name, image, photo submission, other entry materials and/or biographical information on radio, on websites and/or any other medium in connection with participation in this contest or otherwise without the payment of any additional compensation.
By submitting a photo, Entrant grants NRG Media and WBCV a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, fully paid-up, royalty free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the photo and derivative works, whether or not the photo is selected as a winner, and entrant agrees to sign any documents requested by Station to evidence such license.
By submitting a photo in a Station contest, entrant agrees to indemnify Station should any representations and warranties made by entrant herein or in the applicable contest rules prove to be false or inaccurate.
Photo entry requirements
- Photos must be photos of entrant’s own decorated outdoor display, indoor décor or Christmas tree. Prize is not transferable.
- Photo entries must not contain or depict any registered trade/servicemark or other copyrighted material other than those owned or licensed by the entrants or the Station or a Contest Sponsor. Further, Station may, but is not obligated to pixelate/cover any trademarks, servicemarks, or copyrighted materials in Station’s sole discretion.
Photo entries, as well as any comments that may be posted to any photo entries in this contest, must not contain or convey any content that the Station determines at its sole discretion, subjectively or otherwise, (i) to be indecent, profane, obscene, explicitly sexual, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, libelous, or hateful, (ii) to be racially, ethnically, or otherwise offensive or objectionable, (iii) to encourage unlawful behavior, (iv) to infringe upon the brand names, trade-marks, trade names, logos, or any other intellectual property that may belong to a third party, or (v) to disclose any detailed personal, physical, contact, or otherwise confidential information that may belong to a third party. Station shall not be required to make the same determination based on the foregoing for every photo and may treat each photo entry differently, in its sole discretion, even if the problematic content is similar. Station may reject any entry in its sole discretion.
BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST AND SUBMITTING PHOTOGRAPH, THE ENTRANT IS REPRESENTING TO STATION THAT THE USE AND DISTRIBUTION OF SUCH PHOTOGRAPH WILL NOT VIOLATE OR INFRINGE UPON THE RIGHTS OF ANY THIRD PARTY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, COPYRIGHTS OF OTHERS.
By entering this contest, Entrants understand and agree that Station may elect to use any entry submitted for entertainment purposes and may choose to comment on, mock, poke fun at, and/or mimic any entry submitted. Entrants waive any right to make any claim against Station or any contest sponsors with respect to any comments – disparaging or otherwise – made regarding such Entrant’s entry.
In order to receive the Prize, the Prize Winner will be required to an IRS form W9, and complete a prize eligibility verification form acknowledging Winner’s eligibility to win, Winner’s responsibility for all federal, state, and local taxes and releasing the Stations and sponsor companies, their officers, directors, members, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind related to the participation in the contest, and/or delivery, acceptance and use of all prizes.
Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the contest rules are available to entrant, that entrant has had an opportunity to review the rules before entering this contest and the entrant agrees to be legally bound by the contest rules.
