Keanu Reeves Signed a Contract with a Canadian Hockey Team

By Joe Malone Aug 26, 2024 | 5:14 PM

Keanu Reeves made one of his teenage dreams come true last week . . . well, sorta.  He signed a ONE-DAY contract with a Canadian ice hockey team called the Windsor Spitfires.

Keanu used to be a goalie in high school.  He must’ve been pretty good because he was considered a prospect for the Ontario Hockey League.  He got injured though, so he took up acting instead. In case you didn’t know, Keanu’s first feature film role was in the 1986 hockey movie, “Youngblood”.  He also played a goalie.

His single day as a Spitfire was mainly for charity.  A signed copy of his contract, and a signed jersey with his name on the back, will be auctioned to raise money for the Canadian Mental Health Association
