A sequel to the classic comedy film Spaceballs is developing at Amazon MGM Studios.
Mel Brooks wrote, produced, and directed the original 1987 film, and according to reports, he’ll also produce the sequel.
There’s not much about the plot, but we know it will star Josh Gad.
This will be the second time Mel Brooks has returned to a classic. He wrote History of the World: Part II last year.
Spaceballs spoofed classic sci-fi films like Star Wars, Star Trek and Aliens.
