Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney actually own the football club. The series has been around for a bit I am finding out. The trailer for the second season has just been released. In the just-released trailer, it shows that they meet King Charles.
The series has some similarities to Ted Lasso. The Wrexham football club had a storybook ending last year. The team had new owners last year and has also been known as the underdogs. You see the community getting behind this team in a big way. Season 2 will premier on FX on Sept 12th.
