March 10th was National Ranch Dressing Day and to celebrate we told you Hidden Valley Ranch revealed that they were collaborating with Van Leeuwen Ice Cream for a Hidden Valley Ranch flavored ice cream. We managed to get a pint of it and we tried it… Let’s just say the anticipation and hype leading up to it was not worth the “reward.” Of the tree of us that tried it on video, only one liked it. The others almost vomited. The ranch flavors are all there and the combination with the sweetness of the ice cream seemed really wierd and a little off-putting. Once we put it on something (we had garlic-parm bread bites) it wasn’t half bad. So if you mix this ice cream with something savory it becomes tolerable.
