The best part of Halloween for parents is when your kids finally go to sleep, and you can pick through their candy stash while getting LIT. So what type of booze pairs best with Halloween candy?
A new survey found WINE is the #1 pick. Most people think it pairs better with candy than beer or mixed drinks.
The poll also looked at which types of candy go best with wine. Chocolate-based candy got the most votes, followed by fruity candy and nougat-based candy. Sour candy ranked last.
I also came across this article from Spoon University which gives some different suggestions with what booze goes best with specific candies. The main reason I like this article is because I agree 100% with what they suggest pairs with my favorite (and the most popular halloween candy) Peanut Butter Cups! I can tell you from experience that whiskey, specifically BOURBON is a winning combo!
