Freddie Mercury, one of the most flamboyant front men in rock and roll would have turned 75 this week.  Freddie, along with Brian May and Roger Taylor formed Queen in 1970 and soon added bassist John Deacon in 1971 to establish one of the most influential rock bands of all time.  I can remember dropping the needle on Queen’s debut album and blasting out “Keep Yourself Alive” and “Seven Seas Of Rhye” and became a true blue Queen from from day one. (Props to my friend Rick for turning me on to these guys…A HUGE THANKS!!!) Along with their singles and albums of timeless classics, Queen was changing the way music videos were being made and essentially were responsible for starting the music video craze even before MTV! Just remember back when Queen debuted their song “Bohemian Rhapsody”  in video form in 1975 from their album ” A Night At The Opera” on The Midnight Special…SEVEN YEARS before MTV launched!
